As of January 1, 2008, Georgia Outdoor Sports was purchased by new owners. Brian Scarborough, Carrie Mentel and Emmet Cabaniss have been very busy in the last few months. We have been meeting our customers and are so happy to see lots of familiar faces and many new ones too. We have been bringing in loads of new inventory and new vendors. We are excited to now be carrying Under Armour. This is not the athletic stuff you see in sports stores but their new Hunt/Fish division for both men and women. We are also carrying Columbia for men and women and we are now a full Carhartt dealer with men’s, women’s and kids. Another new vendor for us is She Safari. We had so many requests for ladies hunting clothes and searched for something that was really designed for hunting. Many of you may recognize these ladies from the Outdoor Channel. They really do hunt and their clothes are top quality. Right now, we have a limited selection in the store but can get anything for you in a week. As we get closer to hunting season we will begin bringing in more.

We also have new shipments in every department. We have boots from Rocky, Georgia Boot, Muck and Golden Retriever. We just became a Pelican dealer so we have some kayaks and canoes in stock and can now order Jon Boats, Paddle Boats and all the coolest kayak models and have them here in 2 weeks! We are stocking up the fishing department and bring in all new brands of some of the coolest new stuff on the market.

Of course, our archery department is the best anywhere around! Led by Ty Parham, we are stocking Bowtech and Bear Archery and Ty can help you with all your bowsmithing needs. This is one of our big focus departments and we are going to continue to develop it for this great sport. We hosted our first Georgia Outdoor Sports 3-D classic Saturday April 12th. What a terrific day!!!

We are continuing to stock up on hand guns and rifles too. We are a full line dealer with Browning and Benelli and are working with Beretta too. We can get just about anything you want if it’s out there and have it for you in less than a week. We have a new gun smith named Doyle Anglin and he is doing a great job for us. Make sure and check out the beautiful custom stocks he can make for you with all types of gorgeous exotic woods.

As you can tell we are all so excited about all the changes going on here. We are trying to make our store the best around. Our staff lives and loves their jobs so we have the service that you won’t get anywhere else. As owners, we are still learning so please feel free to let any of us know if there is something you would like us to carry and we will do our best. We do tons of special orders every week so don’t be shy if we don’t have your size or color. we will get it!!
